Books worth reading again and again!

I love almost everything about the weeks before spring! On Sunday, everyone in the States moved their clocks forward an hour and now the days are longer and filled with sunshine and lots of new and blossoming plants. Spring gets an super-fueled kick here in California where everything is generally sunny, but there is still a noticeable brightening of the days and increased feelings of adventure in the air.

Really, the only thing I don’t like about the end of winter is the inevitable cold I always manage to catch. I usually spend a week in February acting like I am dying – curled up in my bed and refusing to do nothing besides binge watch trashy TV shows, read for hours, and rapidly work my way through multiple tissue boxes. When February came and left this year I thought I had managed to avoid the yearly cold. I woke up this morning with a sore throat and the realization that some things in life are truly predictable, whether you would like them to be or not. I’m determined this year to face my cold like a champ. This resolution comes partially because I am a week into a new workout program and already seeing results and partially because I really want to finish my NaNoWriMo novel before the end of April. If I turn into a house-bound invalid because of the sniffles, it will take me WEEKS to get back on track. I’m determined to drink lots of tea and hope that positive thinking will help me get better faster. Here’s to hoping!

14. Re-reading Books!

I have been in a bit of a book slump for over a month and decided to bust out by re-reading some of my favorites. I don’t often find myself in a reading slump, but when I do I turn to books that feel like old friends. Even when I am not in a reading slump, I re-read 3-5 books or series every year just for fun! I want to share my list of books I consistently come back to because these are the books I recommend to people who ask me for book suggestions. You may find a few new additions for your TBR here!

What books do you consistently re-read or what book is your standard go-to when someone asks for a killer recommendation?

  1. I also reread when I’m in a slump or when am in between books but don’t want to start something new. My go to rereads are the Harry Potter books, The Song of the Lioness books, Eat, Pray, Love (sometimes) and the Merlin books by TA Barron.
